1. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Consistency is key to academic success. However, I understand that illness and emergencies happen.
- 24-Hour Notice: Please notify me at least 48 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule. There is no fee for early cancellations.
- Late Cancellations: Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice will be charged the full session fee. This policy ensures I can offer the slot to a student on the waitlist.
- Emergencies: Genuine emergencies (sudden illness, family emergencies) are exempt from this policy at my discretion.
2. No-Shows & Late Arrivals
Our time together is valuable. To get the most out of your session, please arrive ready to work.
- Late Arrival: If you are late, the session will still end at the scheduled time. I cannot extend sessions into the next student's slot.
- No-Show Rule: I will wait 15 minutes in the video call. If you have not arrived by then, it is considered a No-Show and will be billed at the full rate.
3. Payment & Invoicing
- Rates: Tutoring rates start at $120/hr. Rates for specialized college-level courses or short-term test prep may vary and will be agreed upon during our consultation.
- Billing: Invoices are sent weekly via email. Payment is due within 7 days of receipt.
- Methods: I accept Zelle, PayPal, and bank transfers.
4. Student Expectations
I am a coach, not a magician. Success requires effort from both sides. Students are expected to:
- Bring specific questions or topics to cover (e.g., "I don't understand
while loops"). - Attempt assigned homework problems before our next session.
- Be willing to make mistakes - that is where the learning happens.
